Policies and Basic Approach

In our pursuit of compliance, we recognize that it is essential not only to comply with laws and regulations but also to behave and act with integrity.
In order for the Mitsui & Co. global group to continue to be a truly trustworthy corporate group for society, we make serious efforts to ensure that all officers and employees are aware of the importance of compliance and that they act with integrity, while preventing compliance violations by maintaining our status as an organization with integrity on a global group basis.

Sustainability Governance and Oversight
In order to enhance the awareness of integrity and effectiveness of compliance on a global group basis, it is essential to develop and strengthen a functional framework as an organization. Through discussions at the Compliance Committee and the Board of Directors, we are striving to develop and strengthen our compliance framework by seeking the most appropriate form.
Initiatives
We are working to create an organization with integrity by formulating and implementing various measures based on the global group-based system that we have established, with the aim of raising integrity awareness and ensuring compliance among all officers and employees.
While preventing the occurrence of problems through the development of an open working environment as a basic principle, we are striving for discovering problems at an early stage through the fostering of a “Speak Up” culture. We continue and strengthen compliance activities in line with the actual situation, taking into account the social environment surrounding the Mitsui & Co. global group and the issues faced by each organization.
